Handgun and Ammunition

Our Basic Handgun Class covers everything you will need to know about how to safely handle, use, and maintain your handgun. This class covers many topics including:

  • How handguns work

  • Selecting a handgun

  • Ammunition and how it works

  • Basic firearm safety

  • How to hold and shoot a handgun

  • Marksmanship vs. Defensive shooting

  • Malfunctions and how to clear them

  • How to maintain your handgun

  • Dryfire training

  • Common handgun gear and accessories


What to Bring:​

  • Pen and paper

  • Handgun (if you don't have one yet, contact us ahead of time so we can have one ready for you)

  • Empty magazines (x2)


What is Provided:​

  • Refreshments (water, coffee, soda, snacks)

  • Snap-Caps

This class is geared towards new gun owners and those unfamiliar with handguns and their use. We strive to provide a low-stress environment for our students where they can learn without fear of criticism.
